The best automatic vacuum and mop Robot Hoover

The best robot hoover can clean and mop without requiring your attention, and will leave your floors spotless. Its affordable price and high-end functions (such as a dirt detector) are a plus.

1. Roomba Q5 pro

The Q5 Pro and its sibling, the more expensive Q7 Max Series, are among the most powerful robot vacuums we've tested. They have motors that are top of the quality and can suction up to 5,500 Pascals. Like other premium iRobots (including the top model), they use intelligent mapping to design precise floor plans and eliminate household obstacles like furniture legs. The robots also come with a feature called Carpet Boost that boosts its power when it detects dirt on the carpet.

Both the Q5 and Q7 Max Series get very excellent scores in our floor tests that test for bare floors They're also particularly adept in cleaning pet hair. However, they have a few flaws that keep them from being our top pick. One of them is that the Q5's navigation doesn't include AI-powered obstacle avoidance and is therefore prone to get caught up in socks and shoes and couldn't navigate tight spaces very efficiently in our tests. Also, it doesn't have cameras that let it see the corners of the room.

Still, it's very good for those who want to save money on a iRobot Roomba and you have a bare-floored home or office. It's also extremely quiet and works when you're at work or at school. The only thing it doesn't have that you can't find in the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30 is edge-to-edge vacuuming on bare floors. It's also less effective at mopping. It is dependent on disposable wet wipes, which don't stick well and isn't able to handle dried-on debris. The Q5 has a self-emptying cradle, however. And, if you have to, you can swap the mopping pad for dry ones in a matter of just a few seconds.

2. IRobot Roomba X30

The iRobot Roomba X30 packs impressive mopping and vacuuming into an elegant, compact package. Its nimble navigation and intelligent cleaning maps make it easy to clean and effective at dealing with larger particles such as pet hair. It also comes with a self-emptying bin, powerful suction, and support for virtual boundaries. It's the most efficient robot automatic hoover for carpets, though it isn't as efficient as some of its competitors in deep cleaning.

This high-performance vacuum and mop uses sensors to keep away from obstacles and pet waste. It also learns the patterns of your home over time and ensure cleaner and more efficient cleaning. The app allows you to modify zones and alter the cleaning schedule. It has a battery life that is similar to other models.

When the X30 Ultra is in a carpeted area, you can instruct it to remove and extend its mops. This will help prevent cross contamination. Its flex arm can also be utilized to reach under furniture that is low and along baseboards. It's not as effective on the washboard as our other Editors' Choice Picks, the Ecovacs Ozmo N8Pro+ and the iRobot Combo j9+.

In the course of testing, X30 Ultra was the quickest robot vacuum/mop that could clean an entire home, with 66 per cent of its battery remaining. It also did a great job of cleaning a mix of floors and rooms with mixed flooring types, including certain area rug. Its obstacle detection was top-notch, and it nimbly avoided fake dog socks, turds, shoes, and bundles of cables.

It's a little more expensive than the iRobot Combo v9+ and iRobot Roomba j9+, however, it comes with superior suction, a dustbin on board that automatically fills up its base, and supports voice commands using Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. It is able to clean floors even after it vacuums. This is something we haven't seen in other robot vacuum/mop combination.

3. iRobot Roomba X40

With a sleek circular design that looks more like a regular Roomba than the competition's compact models this mop and robot vacuum is one of the most attractive looking models in our reviews. iRobot’s latest flagship model is also the most intelligent. It has advanced features like Enhanced Dirt Detection and future compatibility (another company's robot that is able to wash mop pads on its own).

It's the only robotic vacuum/mop that has an exemplary 10/10 in our evaluations due to a mix of high-tech sensors that include cameras, a structured light system, and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra is also the only robot we tested that is fully self-refill and empty its base station and it has an the industry's highest suction of 12,000Pa and self-cleaning mop pads.

The X40, like other iRobot products, is simple to use. It has an easy mobile application interface and integrates with Amazon Alexa and Apple HomeKit. The only downside is that the X40 is still a noisy unit. This could be a problem in the mornings before work or at night when you're trying to sleep.

It's also a bit expensive however, not as much as the Ecovacs MaxV Ultra or Roborock S8 Omni, which are both equally capable and better looking. This is a dual-purpose vacuum that is very efficient however it's going to cost you more and produce more noise.

iRobot L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is the top-of-the high-end robot mop and vacuum. It has a number of advanced features that will help you forget your chores. The L20 Ultra is a hands-free cleaning machine like Ecovacs' top-of-the-range X2 Omni or Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra. It features a multi-functional dock that can automatically empty the vacuum's bin and refills the water tank, as well as washes and dry the mop pads.

The smart robot vacuum cleaner employs the combination of LIDAR and structured light to create floor plans and identify obstacles, navigating more intelligently than some of its premium competitors. It also comes with a front-mounted camera that can detect hazards in real-time however this was not 100% reliable in our tests and could be confused with obstructions or power cords.

The vacuum has a suction maximum of 7,000 Pascals, which is more than enough to get the job done. It also comes with a feature known as "Intelligent Dirt Detection", which regulates the power of the vacuum and adjusts the frequency of cleaning for various areas of the house based on how dirty those areas are.

If you own a larger home, you should consider choosing a model that has the option of cleaning zones or spots. This lets you instruct the robot on which part of your home must be cleaned by using the app or voice control. If you have a lot of furniture, a stair mode is also useful. For busy families, a recharge feature and resume feature that permits your robot vacuum to pick up where it left off can be very useful.

5. iRobot Roomba RX3

The RX3 is a more efficient cleaner than you would expect from its price tag. It's a pro at vacuuming, picking up 55% of the debris that was found in our tests (it was second only to the Roomba Q5 Pro). It also mopses with a single pad that uses a reciprocating motion, which does a better job cleaning than the other mop cleaners for robots we've examined. And it's highly self-sufficient with a fully-featured app as well as an auto-emptying, washable base.

The iRobot application is designed to help you navigate a mapping run which collects information about your floorplan, as well as any "no go" areas that you have marked on the map. You can use it to create cleaning schedules, arrange the perfect spot for cleaning or prioritise your dirtiest rooms to improve performance. The app comes with a variety of features, such as seasonal suggestions, custom mapping and advanced cleaning settings.

It is also able to reach corners and under furniture better because its shape is more rectangular. It features an impressive 8,000 Pascal suction, as well as intelligent combs to remove pet hair. You can also organize a spot-cleaner that will thoroughly clean an area.

The Miele Scout RX3 Home Vision HD is a more sleek and less expensive alternative to the iRobot Roomba. It's more appealing, Dolce & Gabbana-esque design and its twin cameras look like cute eyes. It is excellent at vacuuming, however it is more likely to get stuck on low thresholds. It also has a higher noise than other top robot vacuums that we've tested. It also has a less intuitive app and a tiny base station that doesn't double as a bin for emptying.robotic-vacuum-cleaner-cleaning-the-room-while-wom-2024-11-07-13-20-10-utc-min-jpg-original.jpg
