The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops

Noah Pinsonnault is a product review analyst for the Home Care and Cleaning Lab at Good Housekeeping.

He tests and evaluates cleaning appliances. His focus is on mopping and robot vacuum combinations. Multitaskers are a great choice for those who want to take mopping off their to-do list. Some have great mapping and obstacle avoidance. Others even wash and refill mopping pads for a hands-free cleaning.

The Eufy S1 Pro

This is the model you need to choose if you want an automatic hoover vacuum cleaner that can also mop. It's smaller than other options on this list making it easier to navigate into tight corners and underneath furniture. It has a 220 degree Lidar that, when combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, gives it some of my favorite navigation and avoidance capabilities I've seen in the form of a robotic vacuum. It has a 4600mAh battery that can last for up to 170 minutes if cleaning and sucking are set to standard mode. (It can run longer when it is set to turbo). It can even return to the dock to top up its battery midway through an efficient.

It is very efficient and does an outstanding job cleaning my two-bedroom apartment. It vacuums carpeted rooms incredibly quickly and hardwood floors in the hallways, and living room in a single sweep. Its 8,000pa suction motor is quick at picking up dirt, droppings and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it detects rugs and the double side brush assists in removing debris from corners.

The mopping performance, though still impressive, isn't as effective. The mop rotates at a high speed and pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, easily scrubbing up dirt and staining. I've also noticed that the front arms stick out slightly more than other robots, which is helpful to maneuver around tight corners and on baseboards. Those same front arms can be used to sweep larger objects, such as broken toys or books.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mop and vacuums I've tested. It doesn't make as loud of a sound when mopping or vacuuming, and is much quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The only drawback is that the S1 Pro must use a proprietary cleaning solution for its mopping function and is sold separately from the vacuum. It's simple to set up and performs well however, it's something you'll have to be aware of if you're buying this robot vacuum for the sole purpose of it mopping.

The Roborock Q Revo

robot-vacuum-mops-logo-text-black-png-original.jpgThe Q Revo is different from other robot vacuums in its class. It has a robust suite of features that make it a great choice for homeowners looking to purchase a highly effective, versatile and adaptable cleaning machine.

The device comes with a powerful cleaning system that incorporates LiDAR sensor technology and an RGB camera. This allows it to map out the home, detect furniture and other obstacles. It then uses this information to clean methodically and intelligently. This will ensure an even and thorough clean, while also being relatively quick.

The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad can reach a variety of surfaces. This includes corners, baseboards and other difficult to reach places. They also have a flexible side brush that extends to the floor in close proximity to walls and other fixtures. In addition the mop pads can be cleaned and dried to avoid build-up and lessen the smell.

Another noteworthy feature is the customizable options available via apps. The Q Revo allows you to alter the amount of suction and choose between a back-andforth, or a more randomized pattern. You can also adjust the number of passes it should make, which will affect the speed at which the device can move around your home. You can also turn off the side brush to avoid damaging carpets and rugs.

It's crucial to note that it incurs periodic costs in the form of mopping supplies and maintenance. For example brushrolls need to be replaced every six to 12 months or after 300 hours. The filter must be cleaned after 150 hours, and the mop pad must be replaced every three to six months.

This robot vacuum that mops is rated highly on Amazon and offers a wide variety of physical automation features. It has the power button that can also function as a general 'Clean' button and a 'Home button that will take it back to its base station after completing its cleaning task. It also comes with a multi-functional dock that automatically empty the dustbin and refills its water tank for mopping and washes and dry its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

The Shark Matrix Plus will be the ideal choice for busy professionals or anyone who wants to keep their home neat without spending too much time doing chores. Its powerful performance, intelligent navigation and long battery life make it easy to maintain a clean house with minimal effort.

The Matrix Plus robot vacuum cleaners best vacuum is an all-in-one vacuum and mop. It is capable of vacuuming as well as mopping. The robot is divided into two modules, a dry bin and water tank that can be snapped in and out and a mopping module that includes an elastomer pad. It's a bit old-fashioned to have separate modules for vacuuming and mopping but it does mean you don't have to worry about changing the bags for disposables or refilling the tank with water.

The Matrix Plus performed well at both vacuuming and mopping. Its greatest feature is its accurate floorplan map, which it utilizes when cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate around furniture, rugs and other obstacles. The app also offers the option of setting 'No-Go zones' and virtual barriers, which help to protect certain areas of your home from being scrubbed with a mop.

The Matrix Plus also did a surprising job of collecting pet hair. It was able to capture some of the hair that sheds from our cats. It even got into some of the nooks and crannies of our stairs where other robots have struggled. Its noise levels were fairly low and there were lovely jingles that inform you that it was starting and getting its work done.

The app was too simple and you had to switch the modules every time you changed between mops and vacuuming. The app can't store multiple maps. This could be an issue if your home has several floors. The Matrix Plus robot is a excellent choice for those who want a smart device that can vacuum and mop.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot vacuum that mops in our test, but it has some distinctive features that are worth considering. The X1 Omni is most notable for its massive dock that doubles as a charging base for the robot cleaner with mop, a sink for cleaning and two 4-liter water tanks. It also houses the 2.5-liter dust bin as well as the 2.5 milliliter dust bin.

The base comes with several control buttons that let you manually start cleaning tasks or recall the robot, or run the dock’s auto vacuum and mop-emptying procedure. Hold down two of the buttons to switch on the child lock, which is a nice option for parents concerned about their children playing with the vacuum.

Like other robotic vacuums the X1 Omni utilizes its camera to identify furniture and obstacles in its path and avoid them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system can map your home 10 times faster than conventional laser detection systems and is four times more precise in finding objects.

The X1 can be prone to become stuck when it is entangled in a hazard, such as a power cable tangled over a rug. It won't function until you manually untangle it. While this was rare, it was a frustrating experience when it did happen particularly since the X1 Omni does not come with a "stuck" status alert on its app.

Another issue that could be a problem is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically change between vacuuming and mopping modes during a cleaning session. You will have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't that bad but the mopping pad doesn't get cleaned or dried between use. This could lead to mildew and mold.

On the positive side it's worth noting that the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who dreamed up its modern and sleek base as well as mopping pad. It's a significant contrast to the basic black bases of rivals like Roborock or iRobot. It's also an excellent choice for a market dominated by clunky boxes.
