The best rated robot vacuum Robot Hoover

The most effective robot vacuum will sweep and vacuum your floors with no effort. It also leaves the floors spotless. Its price is surprisingly low and high-end features (such as dirt detection) are a plus.

Some models will also empty the dust bin on board and then deposit it in an additional bin located at the base. This reduces the amount fine dust released into the air.

1. Roomba Q5 pro

The Q5 Pro, and its more expensive cousin, the Q7 Max Series are among the most powerful robotic cleaner and mop vacuums that we have tested. They are equipped with motors that are top of the line and can suction up to 5,500 Pascals. Similar to other iRobots that are premium (including the top model) they employ smart mapping to produce precise floorplans that avoid obstacles like cords and furniture leg. The robots also have a feature called Carpet Boost that boosts its power when it senses dirt on the carpet.

Both the Q5 as well as the Q7 Max Series get very high scores on our tests on floors that are bare and are particularly effective in removing pet hair. However, they do have a few flaws, however, that prevent them from being our first option. For instance, the Q5's navigation system does not feature AI-powered obstacle avoidance technology, so it's prone to become entangled in shoes and socks and can't navigate rooms with a lot of people efficiently in our tests. It doesn't also have a camera to see around corners.

It's still a great deal particularly if your office or home has a lot of bare floors and you want to save money. Plus, it's very quiet and can work while you're at work or going to school. The only thing it doesn't have that you don't get in the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30 is edge-to-edge vacuuming on floors that aren't clean. And it's less effective at mopping, using disposable wet wipes that don't hold on well and aren't able to handle dried-on debris. The Q5 is self-emptying cradle, however. If you're required to, the mopping pad can be swapped for a wet one in just a few seconds.

2. iRobot Roomba X30

The iRobot Roomba X30 is a compact, sleek vacuum cleaner that can also sweep floors. Its agile navigation and intelligent cleaning maps make it easy to clean and efficient at dealing with larger particles such as pet hair. It also has a powerful suction and a self-emptying bin. It's the most efficient robot hoover for carpets, although it's not as effective as some rivals in deep cleaning.

This high-performance vacuum and mop utilizes sensors that help it avoid obstacles and pet waste. It also learns the layout of your home over time and provide better cleaning. You can modify its cleaning schedule and customize zones using the app that is well-designed. It comes with a battery life that is comparable to other models.

robot-vacuum-mops-logo-text-black-png-original.jpgYou can tell the X30 Ultra to remove its mops and to extend them when in a carpeted area to prevent cross-contamination. The flex arm can be used to reach under low-lying furnishings and along baseboards. It's not as efficient on the washboard as our other Editors' Choice Picks, the Ecovacs Ozmo N8Pro+ and the iRobot Combo j9+.

During tests during testing, the X30 Ultra was the fastest robot vacuum/mop to complete an entire home, and it did so with the battery at 66 percent left. It did a great cleaning job on various flooring and rooms with different kinds of flooring, including some area rug. Its obstacle detection was great and it was able to avoid fake dog turds, socks, shoes, and bundles of cables.

It's more expensive than the iRobot Combo v9+ and iRobot Roomba j9+, but it has superior suction, a dustbin on board that automatically empties into its base, and also supports voice commands using Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. It is able to clean floors even after it has vacuumed. This is a feature we haven't seen on other robotic vacuum/mop combinations.

3. IRobot Roomba X40

With an elegant circular design that looks more like a regular Roomba rather than the boxy units this robot vacuum and mop combo is among the most attractive designs in our reviews. The latest flagship model from iRobot is also among its most advanced. It has advanced features, like Enhanced Dirt Detection and future compatibility (another company's robot that can wash mop pads in a self-cleaning manner).

It's also the only robot vacuums best vacuum/mop that scored the perfect 10/10 out of 10 in our testing. This is thanks to a combination modern sensors, including a restructured lighting system, a camera and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra was the only robot we tested that could fill and empty its basestation autonomously. It also boasted an industry-leading suction of 12,000Pa as well as self-cleaning mops.

The X40 is, like the other iRobot products, is easy to operate. It comes with a simple mobile app interface that integrates with Amazon Alexa and Apple HomeKit. The only real drawback is that it's still quite loud that could be an issue if you use it in the morning prior to work, or at night when you try to fall asleep.

It's also a bit expensive, but not as much as the Ecovacs S8 MaxV Ultra or Roborock S8 Omni, which are equally powerful and more attractive. This is a two-in-one vacuum that's very capable however it's more expensive and make more noise.

4. iRobot Roomba L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is a top-of-the-range robot vacuum and mop, with a lot of advanced features to help you get rid of your chores. The L20 Ultra is a hands-free cleaning device that is similar to Ecovacs the top of the line X2 Omni or Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra. It features a multi-functional dock that can automatically emptys the vacuum's bin and fills up the water tank, and washes and drys the mop pads.

The smart robot uses the combination of LIDAR and structured light to create floor plans and spot obstacles, navigating more intelligently than some of its premium rivals. It also has a front-mounted camera for real-time detection of hazards, although this wasn't quite 100% foolproof during our tests and was often confused by power cords or other obstructions.

The vacuum cleaner comes with a maximum suction of 7,000 Pascals which is more than sufficient to complete the task. It also comes with an attribute called "Intelligent Dirt Detection", that regulates the vacuum's power and adjusts the frequency of cleaning for various areas of the house based on how dirty those areas are.

If you have a larger home, you should consider selecting a robot that comes with spot or zone cleaning mode. This allows you to instruct the robot on which part of your home needs to be cleaned with the help of an app or voice command. If you have a lot of furniture, a stair mode is also useful. For families that are busy recharge functions and resume feature that permits your robot vacuum cleaner best vacuum to resume where it left off can be very beneficial.

iRobot RX3

The RX3 is more advanced than the price suggests. It is a great job cleaning, removing 55% of the debris that was found in our tests (it was second only to the Roomba Q5 Pro). It also mops using one pad that has an oscillating motion that does a better job cleaning than the other robot mop cleaners we've tested. It's also self-sufficient, with a full-featured app and an auto-emptying, washable base.

The well-designed iRobot application guides you through a mapping session that collects data about your floorplan and any "no-go" areas you mark on the map. It can be used to design cleaning schedules or create an automatic vacuum and mop spot-clean. You can also use it to prioritize the most soiled areas to improve performance. The app also gives access to a host of features like seasonal suggestions, custom maps and advanced settings for your cleaning.

It is also able to reach corners and under furniture more easily because its shape is more rectangular. It has a powerful 8000 Pascal suction as well as intelligent combs to remove pet hair. You can also set up a spot-clean that will thoroughly clean the area.

The Miele Scout RX3 Home Vision HD is a sleeker and less expensive alternative to the iRobot Roomba. It's got a more attractive design, akin to Dolce & Gabbana. The twin cameras are shaped like cute eyes. It is great at vacuuming, however it is more likely to be caught on low thresholds. It is also louder than other top robot vacuums that we've tested. It also has a less intuitive app and a tiny base station that isn't able to double as an emptying bin.
