World of Warcraft - Item upgrader mod (writeablog.net) Upgrading

The upgrade of an item level upgrade lets players boost an item's gear rating up 700 points and also add a bonus. Items can be upgraded if they're in your inventory and you decide to take them to the Kiln.

Certain items are worth upgrading because of their unique stats. (For example an excellently broken point armor that is rolled can be used in melee PvP). Other items such as weapons don't really change after an upgrade and therefore aren't worth the effort.

Weapons

Upgrades to weapons can increase their numerical stats, like attack damage, crit probability and PvE/PvP damage. Weapons have a flat-rate bonus that increases damage per second. Many weapons also have a fixed bonus which is activated when three or more identical weapons are used in a single unit. This bonus could exceed the damage a weapon upgrade alone can do.

The cost of upgrading a weapon's capabilities is contingent on the nature of the weapon as well as its current level. For instance the weapon with a +2 rating will require two regular Smithing Stones to upgrade while an upgrade of +3 requires four. The number of stones needed to upgrade a weapon will increase until it needs more Smithing Stones. At that point it will reset to one.

Upgraded weapons can also alter their base stats. While this is usually a good thing however, it could have negative consequences as well. Upgrades can make items impossible to use, unless you are exceptionally lucky.

The ability to upgrade armor items to boost their performance. This can boost the defense of a helm or chest as well as belts and gloves. These will boost their required strength and agility. Armor offers a rerolling option for its Enhanced Defense%. This means that it can sometimes roll down to a lower value.

The upgrade template for a weapon shows the new stats that it will gain upon upgrading in addition to their respective values. This means that a weapon will gain 33% attack damage when it is upgraded from an 8 attack damage sword to an 11 attack damage sword. However the 3% difference doesn't mean that it will be hit for 3 times less often as it is an absolute number.

Rerolling a weapon is also possible by pressing the green button in the item upgrading menu using the arrows that circle. This will roll an item and alter its stats but it will not reset the weapon's level or connect it to an account's status.

Armor

Making a few improvements to your armor can make a an enormous difference in your ability to survive. Certain sets can offer massive improvements in the resistance to curses, poisons and fire as well as magic. This can make it easier to navigate difficult areas. In general, the more defense you can offer your character, the more health you will gain from each point. So, it's best to upgrade your armor.

You can upgrade your armor by visiting one of the Great Fairy Fountains. There are four in total each of which requires you to complete a special side-quest involving the Stable Trotters musical troupe. After you've completed the main side quest and have completed the fountain that corresponds and then you can contact any Great Fairy to open up the armor upgrade menu.

Each piece of armor can be upgraded up to three levels, and the amount of materials and Rupees needed for each level will differ. In general, you're looking at anything from three to ten Red Chuchu jellies and 10 Rupees for the first upgrade, and anywhere between five Rubies and 10 Fire-Breath Horns for each subsequent one. The Champion Leathers, for example, can be upgraded to a +5 defense rating, which allows you to keep up in frigid conditions with a lot of adversaries. The Snowquill Headdress, on the other is able to be upgraded as high as +20 defense, which means you're able to withstand a rout with your friends.

Note that armor can't be upgraded in the same manner as weapons, so you'll have to work on enhancing it to increase physical strength if you're a Warrior or Spell Power when you're a Mage. It's also worth saving your armor upgrades for the armor you'll still be wearing at the end of the game, such as the Ring of Lightning and Spectral Shield, or the helmet you wear to fight the final boss as well as the Monter Parts merchant's mask.

You can also get some advantages to your armor by presenting the jeweler at Gerudo Town 10 Twinkling Titanite. You'll typically want to keep these upgrades to the weapon you'll be using to beat the game. For instance the Longsword or Battleaxe. However, it's beneficial to have a few upgrades to the helmets and chest armor so that you can escape some monsters.

Potions

Potions are liquid substances that, when consumed, provide the user with the illusion of status for a few minutes. There are five types of potions with different effects and durations. Certain potions can be upgraded to improve their effectiveness. You can also increase the effects of certain potions by adding glowstone dust and redstone.

Upgrades to potion require a certain amount XP. This can be earned through crafting them on a craft table or by placing them in the Alchemist chest. The upgrade price varies depending on the type of potion and the item's Rarity and Mark Level.

To upgrade a potion, right-click on it in your inventory and select the "Upgrade" option from the menu. This will open an GUI that allows you to choose the potion that you would like to upgrade and the amount of experience they will provide when upgraded. You can upgrade potions in batches up to five at a time and their XP will be added to the total amount of XP you have.

Once a poton is upgraded, it will not degrade unless you take it out again or break the bottle in the container it is stored. You can also change the name of the potion by clicking it in your inventory.

There were some changes to potion mechanics in version 1.7.2. Splash potions, for example have now a duration of zero, not the 22.5 seconds shown on the hover display for the item. The potion table is now made of four Wood Planks, and two Glass. It can now be used in both Survival and Bedrock. Bedrock Edition potions aren't compatible with cauldrons, unlike Java Edition. The same applies to using a potion within an empty cauldron. This will deplete the liquid, and then refill the bottle.

Finally, there are lingering potions, which are brewed with splash and dragon breath potions. Redstone can also be added to potions that are lingering to increase their effects. The potion table is rearranged to look more like the Java Edition. New potions have also been added, like the potion of leaping and decomposition.

Trinkets

A trinket is a small, inexpensive ornament or piece jewelry. It can also refer to an object or decoration that serves a purpose, but is not particularly significant like a trinket. In certain traditions, trinkets are used to signify affection or friendship, particularly between family members.

Players can upgrade trinkets in addition to weapons and armor, as well as potions. Upgrades can be made by paying the appropriate currency to an upgrade vendor. Unlike other item upgrades trinkets are able to be swapped out at will without losing their status.

The upgrade vendors are located in major cities and in the capital of each zone, and in some instances in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets are bought with tokens, gold or fragments of rare trinkets.

The upgrade of a trinket can be an affordable alternative to buying new ones. It can be done by a player for as little as 12 tokens. The new trinket will have the same base level as the old trinket, but will also have an additional 1% bonus upgrade.

Trinkets can be upgraded once the old ones are not needed which allows a player to increase their power and value over time. They can be traded between players and are a viable alternative to gold.

In general, players should upgrade their top-priority items first. This usually means the Best item upgrader-in-slot items for their class, then their secondary items and finally, other gear items that they won't replace in the near future (for instance rings or cloaks). Players should also take into consideration their class's preferred stats when selecting the items to upgrade. For instance, if Haste and Crit are the two most important stats for tankers, they should be focusing on upgrading their helm, chest shoulders, belt, and chest.

When they are no longer useful trinkets can be upgraded to a higher level. The upgraded trinket will give you an additional 1% bonus. Re-upgrading can cause damage to the trinket unless it can be saved using the help of a Black Lion Salvage Kit, or a higher tier salvage tool. This means upgrading trinkets is more expensive than other upgrades, however it is still less expensive than buying the new one.
