World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading

The item upgrade lets players increase an item's gear rating up 700 points, and then give it a bonus. Items can be upgraded by having them in inventory before heading to the kiln.

Certain items are worth upgrading due to their unique stats. (For example, a perfectly roll breakpoint armor is used in melee PvP). Other items like weapons aren't changed much after an upgrade and therefore aren't worth it.

Weapons

Upgrades to weapons can increase their numerical stats, such as attack damage, crit chance, and PvE/PvP damage. Weapons have a flat-rate bonus that increases damage per second. Additionally some weapons come with an added bonus that is activated when three or more of the same weapon are present on a unit. This bonus may be more than the damage that an upgrade alone can cause.

The cost of upgrading a weapon's capabilities is contingent on the rarity of the weapon and its current level. For instance an item with a rating of +2 will require two regular Smithing Stones to upgrade items while the +3 model requires four. The number of stones needed to upgrade a weapon will continue increase until it is required to use an upgrade to a higher level of Smithing Stones, at which the number will be reset to one.

Upgrades to weapons also reroll the stats of the base. While this is generally a good thing but it can also have negative effects as well. Upgrades can make things impossible to use, unless you are very lucky.

Armor items can be upgraded to boost their performance. For instance, if you have chests or helms, it will boost its defense base while gloves and belts enhance their required strength and dexterity. Armor has a rerolling option for its Enhanced Defense%. This means that it is able to roll down to a lower value.

The upgrade template of a weapon will show the new stats that it will gain upon upgrading, along with the values of these stats. This means that the weapon will gain 3% attack damage if it is upgraded from an 8 attack damage sword to an 11 attack damage sword. The 3% doesn't mean that the weapon will be hit 3 times less, as it is an absolute number.

Rerolling a weapon is possible by pressing the green button within the item menu using the arrows that are circling. This will reroll the item upgrader kit and alter its stats but it won't reset the weapon's level nor tie it to the account status.

Armor

A few tweaks to your armor can make a huge differences in your ability to survive. Certain sets provide massive boosts to poison, curse, fire and magic resistance, which can make it easier to navigate through tough terrain. In general, the greater defense you can offer your character, the more health you will gain from each point. Therefore, it's a good idea to upgrade your armor.

You can upgrade your armor by visiting one of the Great Fairy Fountains. There are four fountains in all, and each requires you to complete a specific side quest that involves the Stable Trotters musical troupe. Once you've completed the primary side quest and have completed the fountain in question and then you can contact any Great Fairy to open up the menu for upgrading your armor.

The amount of materials required to upgrade items each piece of armor will differ. You'll need anywhere from three Red Chuchu jellies and 10 Rupees to upgrade your first armor piece, and between five Rubies or 10 Fire-Breath Lizalfos Horns to upgrade the next one. For instance, the Champion Leathers can be upgraded to +5 defense, which allows you to keep up with a decent-sized group of enemies in the majority of cold conditions, and the Snowquill Headdress can be upgraded all the way to +20 defense, providing the protection needed to survive an entire raid with a few of your friends.

It's important to note that armor cannot be upgraded the same way as weapons, so you'll want to work on upgrading it to gain physical strength if you're a Warrior or Spell Power when you're Mage. It's also worthwhile to save your armor upgrades for the armor you'll still be wearing at the end of the game, like the Ring of Lightning and Spectral Shield, or the helmet you'll wear for the final boss battle, the Monter Parts Merchant's mask.

You can also unlock some benefits to your armor by giving the jeweler in Gerudo Town 10 Twinkling Titanite. In general, you should save these upgrades for the weapon you'll use to win the game, such as the Longsword, Battleaxe or Warhammer However, it is useful to have some upgrades to your helmets and chest armor that let you stealthy battle some monsters.

Potions

Potions are liquids that when consumed by a player, give the player with a temporary effect for a short period of time. There are five types of potions with different effects and durations. Some potions can be upgraded, increasing their level of effect. You can also increase the effects of certain potions by including glowstone dust and redstone.

Upgrades to potion require a certain amount of XP. This can be obtained by making them on a crafting table, or by storing them in the Alchemist chest. The cost of upgrading varies based on the type of potion and the item's Rarity and Mark Level.

To upgrade a potion, click right on it in your inventory and select the "Upgrade" option from the menu. This will open a GUI that allows you to choose the potion that you want to upgrade and the amount of experience they will offer when upgraded. You can upgrade potions in batches of up to five at once, and their XP will be added to the total XP you currently have.

When a poton is upgraded in quality, it will not deteriorate until you use it again or break the bottle in which it is kept. Clicking on the potion in your inventory will also allow you to change its name.

Version 1.7.2 brought a few changes to the mechanics of potions. Splash potions, for example, now have a duration 0:08 instead of the 22.5 seconds shown on the hover display of the Best item upgrader. The table for potion can now be made using four Wood Planks and two Glass. It is now able to be used in both Survival and Bedrock. Bedrock Edition potions are not compatible with cauldrons, as is the case with Java Edition. This is the same for using a potion in a cauldron that is full. This will draw out the potion, and refill the bottle.

There are also lingering potions that are brewed using dragon breath and splash potions. Redstone can be added to potions that are lingering to increase their effect. The table of potions has been rearranged to appear more like the Java Edition. New potions have also been added like the potion of leaping and decomposition.

Trinkets

A trinket can be an ornamental item that is small, cheap or piece jewelry. It can also refer to an object or ornament that serves a purpose but is not particularly significant, such as a trinket. In certain cultures, a trinket is used to symbolize affection or friendship, specifically between family members.

Players can upgrade trinkets as well as weapons or armor, as well as potions. Upgrades can be obtained by paying the appropriate currency to an upgrade vendor. Unlike other item upgrades, trinkets can be exchanged at will without losing their stats.

Upgrade vendors can be found at the capitals of each zone, and in some instances in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets can be purchased with tokens, gold or fragments of a rare trinket.

Upgrades are a less expensive alternative to purchasing a new trinket. You can upgrade a trinket for as little 12 tokens. The new trinket will feature the same base ilvl as the old one, and will come with an additional upgrade bonus of 1.

Trinkets can be re-upgraded once they're no longer useful which allows a player to increase their power and value over time. They can be traded among players which makes them a good alternative to gold.

In general, players should upgrade their most important items first. This typically means the top-of-the-line items for their class, followed by their secondaries, and finally other gear items that they won't replace soon (for instance rings or cloaks). When deciding which items to upgrade players should also be aware of the preferred statistics of their class. For instance when Haste and Crit are the two most important stats for a tank, they should be focusing on upgrading their chest, helm, shoulders, and belt.

Once they have become useless, trinkets can be upgraded to a greater level. The new trinket comes with an additional 1percent bonus. Re-upgrading will cause the trinket to be destroyed unless it is salvaged with the help of a Black Lion Salvage Kit, or a salvage tool. Upgrades to trinkets can be more expensive than other upgrades, but still less expensive than purchasing a new one.
