World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades increase the value of certain numeric stats on weapons, armor and rings. They also boost extra bonuses, such as crit chance and PvE damage.

For instance an item with the upgrade template that ends in % will gain 3damage to attack each time it upgrades (relative to its previous value).

The cost of upgrading an item is determined by the item's level. The cost increases with the item's level.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be inserted into armor, weapons, and trinkets to give a stat bonus or extra impact while they're being used. These can be obtained by making crafts, buying from vendors or trading with other players or looting. Some upgrades also have specific cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components are only available to equipment with a slot. The item must be at least upgraded to a blue level before the component can be applied. Upgrade components, unlike other modifications, can only be applied only once. They cannot be replaced or applied several times. Infusions and enrichments are a specific kind of upgrade component that is that is used to upgrade non-amulet ascended or legendary equipment and some of the items that are not ascending back. Infusions and enrichments can be recovered by salvaging ascended gear or completing an elite task in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

A prefix or suffix may be added to an upgrade, thereby changing the name of the item it is applied to (for example, 'Canthan Armor Insignia',' changes to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades boost an item's Mark Level or Rarity, allowing players to make stronger versions of the equipment using fewer Upgrade Crystals than would be required to reach the same level of upgrade using normal methods.

A 'boost upgrade' can alter the attack or defense properties of a weapon, or armor. Once the player has completed the cutscene and defeated Crazed Mechanist These upgrades can be created at the Portative Forging Station. They can also be dropped by enemies when upgrading other gear, or by purchasing them from the cash store for 500 upgrade crystals each.

The player can get the maximum of five boost upgrades at one time. Each upgrade increases the likelihood that a higher-tier version of the item will be available at the time of the next reset. This gives the player an incentive to keep upgrading their gear even if they're uncertain of how much it will improve following a subsequent reset.

The process of upgrading an item can be costly and it's possible that the item will become obsolete, or even break, when the upgrade is unsuccessful. Upgrade Crystals and assist powder are also destroyed when an upgrade fails. Cash shop items can be used to decrease or eliminate the possibility of failure. Some upgrades also give the player a bonus if they are reinserted.

Glyphs

Glyphs are upgrade elements which can be put in special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs buff the power of all nodes within their radius as well as existing affixes on equipment. Glyphs can be upgraded in numerous ways. We recommend upgrading them as quickly as you can to level 15.

In the endgame, you will often find that the most effective way to upgrade your gear is to place Glyphs. They are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded to level 15 and provide significant boosts to your power on the Paragon Board.

Most of the upgrades in the game can be replaced however, Glyphs are only the one upgrade component that can be removed and put back in place without restriction. The only exception is legendary equipment that requires an Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and re-place.

Each Glyph has a specific range of values it can improve a stat by. The value is displayed when you choose the Glyph in your inventory. You can decide to replace it with a Glyph with the same rank, or a higher rank, which will boost the value of the Glyph.

Glyphs are available in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of a Gem Store bundle or purchase the glyphs with certain tools that allow unlimited use, and during Faction Crypt Raids. Each Faction Crypt could drop one of these Glyphs. There are also some rare glyphs you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

When you have the desired Glyphs You will have to put them on your equipment. Each Glyph unlocks a special bonus that will boost the stats of a specific set of nodes within a radius around the Glyph. This will either be +40 for one of your primary stats, or +25 for two of your secondary stats depending on the Glyph.

Glyphs boost all nodes that are connected to them, therefore it is recommended to place Glyphs in the most important places on the Graph. This will increase the impact. Druids, for instance should position their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They might also want to consider placing them near their critical damage nodes.

Leveling

The item upgrade system allows players to boost the effectiveness of certain items by inserting upgraded components. This is commonly known as "upping". Every upgradeable item has a level that determines its final upgraded stats. Upgraded items can be leveled up to a maximum of 385 ilvl. Each item level requires various components, and upgrade costs increase with each level.

Certain upgrades require a certain ingredient to activate. This ingredient is obtained by finishing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be found in the upgrade tab of a crafting table, or purchased from some NPCs. Each upgrade item Recipe completed results in a certain amount of Technology points. These points can be used to upgrading an item. Once enough points are earned you'll be able to claim your upgrade and also receive the bonuses.

When an item is upgraded by a player it is replaced with a different item of the same type. This means that the same armor piece will get an weapon or shield once upgraded. The new item also has its own bonus. This can be a disadvantage because it can cause the item to become more expensive, even if you don't need it.

Item upgrades can sometimes be rerolled if the player has enough tokens to be able to do this. The item will be replaced by the same item, but it has a base of level 1 and completely different bonuses. This can be useful for certain items, but it's not something that should be done regularly, as it can use up a lot of resources.

Some upgrades can be rerolled several times, increasing their value and allowing the player to customize their gear. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, as it gives an increase in power if the player continuously enters or exits water. This item can be upgraded several times and increases the maximum roll each time by 10 increments. This item can be very useful in PvP battles, since an Best item upgrader that is properly rolled it can be worth between 20 and 50 times its value if it is not upgraded.

Requirements

The ability to upgrade items allows players to upgrade the quality of their equippable equipment - weapons, armor, and trinkets above ilvl 385--by offering the appropriate items and currencies to an item upgrader NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces also increase its base defense, while upgrades to weapon items increase their base damage as well as the required strength and dexterity.

All items are upgradeable up to five times, with the exception for hero equipment, which is able to be upgraded eight times. Each time you upgrade an object, it has a chance of failing. The rate of failure increases when you exceed the maximum number. Failures will result in the item reverting to its original condition, which requires the user to pay more for materials than they would have to had they stopped upgrading at the maximum amount of upgrades.

If an item is not upgraded the experience bar in its growth bar will reset to zero. In addition the item will be deducted any bonus it earned such as crit chance, attack damage, and all additional effects associated with the effect (for example, increased heal over time or the speed of reloading). The player can continue to use their weapon or armor even after the failure.

When an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied from the lowest to highest. This means that the weapon that is upgraded receives a crit chance boost that it will be applied before any damage to attack increases. Slots is a new attribute that has been added to item definitions. The value is recalculated every time an upgrade occurs.

The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item is based on its rarity rating and upgrade slot count. The cost of upgrading equipment that is not premium is equal to its value. For example an item of common use could have five upgrades at a cost. 25,600 Technology Points and 4x Quality Improvement Chance--whereas hero grade items will come with a much lower cost for each additional upgrade.

Premium items may have different upgrade requirements than normal equipment. For instance, they may need less sowels, however they may require more minerals and orons. Whatever the case, players will have to visit the NPC [Armorthe ] Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they wish to upgrade. Each equipment upgrade will require different amounts of upgrade ingredients in addition to the costs mentioned above.
