The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can mop and vacuum well. For instance, you could opt for the robot to do a deep clean in the kitchen and living rooms but go easy on the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors as well as smart navigation technology. It is able to recognize small obstacles that other models can't. The only drawback is that the robot is known to smash into walls and objects at full speed. It's not like the model from last year it comes with an agitator that doubles in its mopping pad which greatly improves carpet cleaning abilities. The S8 Pro Ultra also has an improved suction capacity, allowing it to pick up small hairs and other debris that other robotic cleaners might miss.

The Roborock model, like the other two I tried it has infrared and a reactive 3D obstacle avoidance technology that helps it overcome obstacles like walls, furniture and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further and includes dual cameras that can detect objects, and determine if they are walls or other surfaces. It then can alter its course in a way that is automatic hoover and clean around them without stumbling.

It's the most expensive model I've tested, but it also has the most features. Its sleek, angular design is striking and comes with three physical buttons. The power button, which also restarts the cleaning process mop function, a button for cleaning that doubles up as a child-lock and a home button to send the best robot vacuum and mop to its dock. The hinged lid can be opened to reveal a 350ml dustbin as well as a 200ml tank of water. The water tank will empty itself and the bin auto-refilling.

The only issue I have discovered with this model was that the VibraRise mop pad mount isn't removable. Although you can change the mopping cloth (if necessary), it's a pain to take off the mount to wash it manually. This is a shame considering how well-performing it is otherwise.
