The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops

Noah Pinsonnault is a product review analyst for the Home Care and Cleaning Lab at Good Housekeeping.

He reviews and tests cleaning appliances, focusing on mopping and robot cleaner vacuum combos. These multitaskers are a great option for those who wish to take mopping off their to-do list. Some have great mapping and obstacle avoidance. Others even wash and refill mopping pads themselves for a hands-free clean.

The Eufy S1 Pro

This is the model to select if you're looking for a robot vacuum cleaner that also mop. It is smaller than other options and makes it easier to maneuver in tight spaces or under furniture. It has a 220 degree Lidar that, combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, offers some of my favorite navigation and object avoidance features I've seen in a robotic vacuum. It's powered by a 4600mAh battery that can last up to 170 minutes if cleaning and sucking are set to standard mode. (It can run longer when it is set to turbo). It will even return to the dock to replenish its battery midway through a clean.

It is very fast and does an excellent job of cleaning my two-bedroom apartment. It cleans the carpeted areas extremely quickly, and the hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room, and hallways in one go. Its 8,000pa motor is able to remove dirt, pet hair, and droppings easily. Carpet detection boosts power automatically when it comes into contact with rugs, and the two side brushes help draw out dirt from corners.

The mopping performance, though still impressive, isn't as good. The mop rotates at a high speed and is pushed down with 2.2lbs of force, easily scraping away dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arm extends out a bit more than other robots. This is helpful in narrow corners or along baseboards. The same front arms can also be employed to clean up larger debris, like broken toys or books.

Another great feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the quietest robot vacuums and mops I've tried. It doesn't make the same amount of noise when mopping or vacuuming and is quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it has to use a proprietary mopping solution and is sold separately. It is easy to install, and it works well. However should you purchase this robot vacuum solely to mop you must pay attention to this.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo stands apart from the majority of robot vacuums that mop in its class. It is equipped with a broad array of features that make it a great option for homeowners looking for a highly effective, versatile and adaptable cleaning machine.

The device is equipped with a powerful and impressive cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensors with an RGB camera to map the home and locate furniture and other obstacles. It can then use this information to clean effectively and efficiently. This will ensure a thorough and consistent clean and is also rapid.

In terms of mopping, Q Revo's DuoRoller mop pads can reach many different surface areas. This includes corners or baseboards, as well as other hard-to-reach spots. They also come with a stretchy side brush that can be extended to the floor in close proximity to walls and other fixtures. The mop pads are washable and can be dried to reduce odors and prevent buildup.

Another notable feature is the customization options that are available through apps. The Q Revo allows you to adjust the intensity of its suction and select between a back-andforth, or a more random pattern. You can also adjust the number of passes it will make, which will determine the speed at which the device can move through your home. You can also disable the side brush in order to avoid damaging carpets and carpets.

The device has a high price tag but is packed with a wide array of innovative features. It is important to note, however, that the device is subject to recurring expenses in the form mopping supplies and regular maintenance. For instance the brushroll has to be replaced after 300 hours or every six to twelve months. The filter should be cleaned after 150 hrs, and the mop pads must be changed every one to three month.

This robot vacuum that vacuums and mops vacuum mop has a high Amazon rating and includes many physical automation features. The Best robot vacuum cleaner UK vacuum also has a power button which doubles as a 'Clean' button' and a 'Home button that allows it to go back home after cleaning. It also comes with a multi-functional dock that automatically emptys the trash bin, fills up its water tank, and cleans and dry its mop pads.

If you're a busy professional or just want an organized home that doesn't require much time doing chores then the Shark Matrix Plus is a good option. It's a top-performing device, smart navigation, and a long battery life that makes it easy to keep your home clean with little effort.

The Matrix Plus robot vacuum is an all-in-one mop and vacuum. It can do both mopping and vacuuming. It has two modules: a combined dry bin and reservoir of water, and a separate mopping system with microfiber pads that snap in and out of place. Separate modules for mopping and vacuuming may seem a bit old-fashioned however, they mean you don't have to worry about changing disposable bags or refilling the tank with water.

The Matrix Plus performed well at vacuuming and mopping. Its best automatic vacuum cleaner feature was its precise map of your floorplan that it uses to determine an outline for cleaning. This made it a breeze for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture, rugs, and other obstacles. The app also offers the option to set 'No-Go zones' and virtual barriers, which can help to keep certain areas of your home from being cleaned with a mop.

The Matrix Plus also did a surprising job of collecting hair of pets. It was able capture the majority of hair our cats shed and even found its way into the nooks and crannys of our stairs, where other robots that vacuum and mop struggled. It was relatively quiet and had some lovely jingles to let you know when it was starting or finishing its work.

The biggest flaws were its lack of sophistication and the need to switch out the modules whenever switching between vacuuming and mopping. The app can't contain multiple maps, which can be a problem for homes with a mix of floors. The Matrix Plus robot is a great choice for those who want a device that can mop and vacuum.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive item in our review. However, it has some unique features which are worth a look. The X1 Omni is most well-known for its enormous dock that serves as a charging base for the robot, a sink for cleaning and two water tanks that are 4 liters in size. It also houses two bins: a 2.5-liter dust bin and an 2.5 milliliter dust bin.

The base has a few control buttons that let you manually begin a cleaning task, recall the robot or run the dock’s auto-emptying procedure. Press two of the buttons to toggle the child lock, which is a nice feature for parents who are worried about kids tinkering with the vacuum.

Like other robotic vacuums the Omni Omni uses its camera to identify furniture and obstacles in its path and eliminate them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system will map your home 10 times faster than conventional laser detection systems and is four times more precise at recognising objects.

Unfortunately this means that the X1 Omni could occasionally get caught up in an obstruction, such as the power cord that is draped across a rug that it becomes stuck and stops working until you free it. Although this is not a common occurrence, it was a frustrating experience when it happened particularly since the X1 Omni does not have an "stuck" status alert in its application.

The X1 Omni isn't able to automatically switch from mopping to vacuuming mode during a cleaning session. You will have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't that bad however, mopping pads don't get washed or dried between uses. This can cause mildew and mold.

On the positive side, the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot, thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who dreamed up its modern and sleek base as well as mopping pad. It's a huge difference from the utilitarian black bases of rivals such as Roborock or iRobot. It's also an impressive sight in the market that is dominated by boxy units.
