The majority of robot vacuum-mop combinations can be customized using a specialized app to save maps of your home, set cleaning schedules and select mopping options. They also allow you to alter suction power and fine-tune how much water and scrub action your mop makes use of.

A mapping feature helps your robot navigate around rooms, while an obstacle avoidance function will stop it from hitting wires, furniture or other pet toys. These are must-have features in my house, filled with toys that are scattered about.

1. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the top-of-the-line vacuum and mop, is packed with features. It can sweep and mop in one session and even lift its brushes and mop pads to stop soft surfaces from becoming wet. It can also stay clear of obstacles by spotting pet toys, plants and other small objects.

The robot vacuum has a suction power of 6,000 pascals which is more than any other robot vacuum we've tested to date. It's also equipped with PreciSense LiDAR navigation that tracks its location, which prevents it from getting stuck on objects.

The mopping capabilities of the S8 Pro Ultra are also impressive. It can apply constant pressure to the pad of more than 6 Newtons for a thorough clean. It also comes with an automatic mop lifting mechanism, that will raise the pad as it moves from tile to laminate hardwood, carpets and rugs to prevent soaking these types of soft surfaces.

The S8 Pro Ultra also has self-washing and self-drying capabilities. The pad can be washed and then dried with the dock and the dust container is automatically empty and returned to it. You can set it to forget about it. It is only necessary to refill the water tank, or replace the dust bag occasionally.

All of this is powered by a 5,200mAh lithium-ion battery. The S8 Pro Ultra ran on its usual vac- and mop-settings for around 160 minutes before it began to lose power, and then returned to its base to recharge. This is not far off of the 180-minute time that Roborock claims, and is on par with other hybrids that I've tested.

It's a well-rounded, capable product. The only issue is that it's costly. The sheer amount of features make it a great choice for anyone looking to replace their old stick vacuums and mops. We highly recommend this vacuum if you can justify the cost.

2. Dreametech L10S Ultra

The Dreametech L10S Ultra robot vacuum and mop is an expensive combination. The premium price is justified by its robust features, which include a massive vacuuming capability, as well as two mop heads that rotate. It also comes with an app-enabled smart controller as well as powerful obstacle-avoidance technology.

The L10S Ultra is one of the most expensive robotic vacuum and mop sets available with a suggested retail price of 999 euros. In my tests, it performed admirably throughout the home. It was able to remove 98.4 percent of the debris on all kinds of floors and managed to lift long hair without tangling. The mops also performed well with excellent cleaning results with less effort than many mid-range models. This was thanks to their rotational movement and a strong dose cleaning solution.

The docking station is the real selling feature of the L10S Ultra. It's multifunctional and modern. The docking station empties the trash bin into a bag for dirt, refills the tank with water to use for mopping, and even dry your mop pads. It also features a real-time hazard detection system and lets you schedule regular cleaning sessions using its smart controls.

The L10S Ultra does not offer better performance for removing carpet debris when compared to the other hybrid mop I tried. In addition it's not as adept at removing staining that is as strong as those in the premium Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra.

Despite the L10S Ultra's numerous top-of-the-line features, it requires regular maintenance and care. To avoid mildew and unpleasant odors, the base unit dustbag, water, and tanks must be cleaned regularly, emptied, and dried. It is also important to note that the mop pads that are bought separately, are required to be replaced on a regular basis too.

I would recommend the L10S Ultra to anyone with the funds. If you're looking to save money I suggest a more basic model that will allow you to save money while still being able to enjoy hands-free cleaning at your home. It's worth noting that even if the L10S Ultra is the best robot vacuum and mop you can purchase, its high purchase price and ongoing maintenance will eventually make it more of a desire than a necessity.

3. Eufy S1 Pro

If you're in search of a robot mop and vacuum that can clean up dust and dirt on your hard floors, while taking care of wet mess, then take a look at the Eufy S1 Pro. This powerful robovac and mop combo packs an impressive 8,000 Pa of suction power as well as a massive battery capacity for both mowing and vacuuming, and top-notch obstacle-avoiding. It even comes with an automatic mop that cleans itself as it goes and makes the S1 Pro stand out from other models that require users to return to their base station mid-clean in order to wash off the mop's pad.

The S1 Pro uses a unique mopping system that is a big departure from the microfibre pads and spinning discs used in other robots. The roller is almost the entire length of the robot and it gets a constant supply of fresh Ozonated, filtered water from the dock. The roller scrubs the floor while soaking up dirt. Any dry debris is picked up with the side brushes, or swept up into the front collision bumper. The S1 Pro then dumps the dirty mop water into its base station where it is sucked up by the tank's heating elements and is poured into a larger storage canister. The tank that is onboard can hold a substantial amount of water, and can take on up to a dozen mopping sessions before rushing out.

Like most robotic vacuums and mop sets like the S1 Pro is ready to take it out of the box. The S1 Pro needs to be refilled with clean water. This is easily done using the cleaning dock. You can also add a cleaning solution to the dock, in case you want to have the option of using your own brand of cleaner. If you do opt for this feature you'll need to purchase the brand-name cleaning solution from Eufy which is more expensive than other robot vacuum that vacuums and mops brands that permit users to use their own cleaning products.

Like many robots like it, the S1 Pro did well in the area of coverage and navigation efficiency. It was quick to map a room and it easily navigated around furniture. It got stuck on carpets with longer piles a few times during my tests. However it could be improved by updating the software. The S1 Pro is a very powerful robot that can be bought at an affordable price.

4. Roborock Qrevo

The Qrevo is Roborock's entry-level vacuum and mop however it has some impressive features. The dock's multi-function function is emptying the robot's dirtbag, filling its water tanks, and washing and sanitizing mop pads is performed by the dock. The mopping system itself is capable of cleaning up a significant portion of an area before it has to return to its dock, and the vacuum's extreme suction does a nice job of picking up debris and pet hair from carpets.

The software that runs the appliance is quite complex, with a broad variety of options to personalize the cleaning process. You can set it up manually to start the full map and then clear everything that's been mapped by the device, or you can pick specific rooms, expandable zones, or even a routine you've created. There are many mopping options that include SmartPlan -- an algorithm that utilizes the sensors of the mops to determine the most efficient way to tidy your home as it maps the space.

The Qrevo was a great performer during our tests, just like all the Roborock models that we've tested. Its navigation system is robust it can map rooms quickly and cleaning them in a systematic fashion. The 'Normal' setting for pathing does a great job of covering a space, with no major gaps or missing areas. The Reactive Tech hazard avoidance system is also quite effective, though it's not as advanced as the color camera system of the Qrevo Master or the S8 Pro Ultra. It can detect dangers such as thick carpets but may not be able to recognize smaller items such as electrical wires and rug tassels.

This machine has one major issue: it doesn't offer a mop after vacuuming. This could be a problem for people who vacuum frequently prior to using their robot. Fortunately, there's a simple alternative: the app has the option to "clean up" at the end of each vacuuming session. This allows you to use the mopping feature of the vacuum to get rid of the last traces of debris and dust left behind by your vacuuming. It's a nice feature and helps this robot get rid of a bit better than its cheaper rivals.
