The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops

Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst at Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.

He tests and evaluates cleaning appliances, focusing on robot vacuums and mopping combos. Multitaskers are a great option for those who want to get rid of mopping off their list of tasks. They have impressive mapping and obstacles-avoiding capabilities, and some wash and refill their mopping pads to give themselves a hands-off clean.

The Eufy S1 Pro

This is the model you need to select if you're looking for a robot vacuum cleaner best vacuum cleaner that also mop. It's smaller than other options and makes it easier to maneuver in tight spaces or under furniture. It comes with a 220 degree Lidar which, when combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, offers some of the best navigation and avoidance capabilities I've seen in robot vacuums. It comes with a massive 4600mAh battery that can last for up to 170-minutes if mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it is able to run longer in turbo). It can even return to its dock to recharge its battery in mid-clean.

It's fast and does an excellent job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It can vacuum carpeted rooms fast, and hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room and hallways in just one motion. Its 8,000pa suction motor will quickly pick up dirt, droppings, and pet hair. Carpet detection increases power automatically when it comes into contact with rugs, and the dual side brushes help to tease out debris from corners.

The mopping efficiency is less impressive, though not by much. The mop rotates quickly and makes use of 2.2lbs to clean dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arm sticks out a little more than other robots. This is useful in narrow corners or along baseboards. The front arms can also be used to pick up larger debris like books and broken toys.

Another great feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the quietest robot vacuums and mops I've ever used. It doesn't create the same volume of sound when mopping or vacuuming, and is much quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it has to use a proprietary mopping solution and is sold separately. It is simple to install, and it works well. However should you purchase this robot vacuum (Gtube.Run) solely for mopping you must be aware of this.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo stands apart from most robot vacuums that mops in its class. It is a powerful machine for cleaning with a wide range of features.

The device comes with a powerful cleaning system that integrates LiDAR sensor technology with an RGB camera. This enables it to map out the home and also find furniture and other obstacles. This information can be used to clean effectively and effectively. This ensures an even and thorough clean, while also being relatively quick.

The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad can reach many surfaces. This includes corners, baseboards and other hard to reach areas. They also have a stretchy side brush that can be extended to reach the floor near walls and other fixtures. In addition the mop pads can be dried and washed to avoid build-up and lessen odors.

App-based customization is a different interesting feature. The Q Revo lets you adjust the suction intensity and choose an back-and-forth or random pattern. You can also choose the number of passes which will determine the speed at which it can move around your home. You can even choose to disable the side brush to avoid damaging carpets and rugs.

This device has a fairly expensive price, but comes with a large selection of advanced features. It's important to remember that it carries periodic expenses in the form of mopping supplies and maintenance. For example the brushroll has to be replaced after 300 hours or every six to 12 months. The filter should be cleaned after 150 hours, and the mop pads must be changed every three month.

robotic-vacuum-cleaner-cleaning-the-room-while-wom-2024-11-07-13-20-10-utc-min-jpg-original.jpgThis robot vacuum that mops is rated highly on Amazon and comes with a wide range of physical automation features. The robot vacuum also has a power button which doubles as a 'Clean' button' and a Home button to send it home after cleaning. It also has a multifunctional dock that automatically empty the dustbin and refills its water tank to mop and washes and dry its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

If you're a professional with a lot of work or just want an organized home that doesn't require hours doing chores then the Shark Matrix Plus is a excellent choice. It's a top-performing device, intelligent navigation, and a long battery life that makes it simple to keep your home clean with minimal effort.

The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop that is, it can do mopping and vacuuming. The robot comes with two modules: a dry bin and reservoir of water, and a separate mopping module with microfiber pads that snap in and out of place. It's a bit old-fashioned to have separate modules for vacuuming and mopping, but it does mean you don't have to fret about changing the bags for disposables or refilling the tank with water.

The Matrix Plus performed well at both vacuuming as well as mopping. Its greatest feature is its precise floorplan map, which it employs when cleaning. This made it a breeze for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture rug, furniture, and other obstacles. The app also offers the option to set "No-Go zones" and virtual barriers, which help to keep specific areas of your home from being scrubbed with mop.

We also discovered that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well at picking up hair from pets. It was able to capture an enormous amount of hair that shed by our cats and even was able to get into the nooks and crannies of our stairs which other robots struggled. Its noise levels were fairly low, and there were some nice jingles to signal that it was starting and working towards its goal.

The biggest flaws were its simplistic app and the requirement to switch out the modules when switching between vacuuming and mopping. The app can't store multiple maps. This can be a problem if your home has a variety of floors. The Matrix Plus robot is a ideal choice for people who are looking for a smart device that can mop and vacuum.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot vacuum that mops in our review, but it also has distinctive features that are worth a look. The X1 Omni's biggest draw is its massive dock which doubles as the robot's charging base and housing for two 4-liter water tanks, a sink for cleaning, and the 2.5-liter dust bin that is automatically empties.

The base also has a variety of buttons to control the system. These allow you to start a cleaning job and then recall the robot vacuums that mop or start the dock's auto-emptying process. Hold down two of the buttons to turn off a child lock which is a great touch for parents worried about kids tinkering with the vacuum.

Like other robotic vacuums the Omni Omni utilizes its camera to identify furniture and obstacles in its path, and then avoid them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system can map your home 10 times faster than conventional laser detection systems and is four times more precise in recognizing objects.

This can cause the X1 to become stuck if it gets entangled in an obstacle, such as the power cable that is draped over a rug. It will not work until you manually untangle it. This is a rare event however, it was a bit frustrating because the X1 doesn't have an "stuck status" alert in its app.

The X1 Omni cannot automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming mode during a cleaning session. You will need to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't an issue aside from the fact that mopping pads aren't washed and dried between use which could lead to mildew or mold.

On the bright side it's worth noting that the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who conceptualized its sleek, modern-looking base and mopping pad apparatus. It's a huge departure from the utilitarian all-black bases of rivals such as Roborock or iRobot. And it's a welcome sight for a market dominated by clunky boxy models.
