UPVC Replacement Door Handles

Over time, the handles on your doors will wear down and need to be changed. In this case, it is crucial that the new handles match the critical dimensions of the previous handle.

Inline Lever/Lever

Lever Pad

A Lever Pad door handle made of upvc functions differently to the lever type handles found on most doors. These handle types are either operated by a single spindle or by two spindles, inline or offset. The handles have been tested to a minimum of 200,000 cycles and are available in various finishes, including White and Silver, as well as Chrome & Gold. External doors, for instance, should be fitted with cylinders with greater security, whereas internal doors can be secured with an ordinary cylinder. Certain cylinders are equipped with additional features that can improve security, such as anti drill or anti bump properties.

To make sure that the euro cylinder is of the right size for your door, it should be measured correctly. The cylinder should be measured from the hole for fixing screws in the middle to each end of the cylinder, including the thumb turn if you have one. If you are unable to measure with the lock in position, you can remove it. A cylinder that extends beyond the handle and escutcheon could be vulnerable to attacks, such as snapping locks, so it is crucial that it is not too long.

The design of most newer cylinders comes with anti-drilling as well as bump resistance features. These are designed to reduce the chances of an attack by forcing the cylinder to rotate in a different direction. This can help deflect the attack and protect your doors.

Certain cylinders are constructed to resist snapping. This is a common occurrence on cylinders. A special tool is used to break the break line of the lock and the front of the cylinder is snapped off. This is a quicker and easier way to gain access than the use of a multipoint locking system. Spring Cassette

These spring cassettes were designed to be used with a spring multipoint lock. They will not fit unsprung handles and you'll need to cut a hole in your backplate in order for them to fit.
