World of Warcraft Item Upgrades

Item upgrades are a key part of gearing up your character. Upgrades increase the base damage and enchantments of items.

They also provide bonuses and enhancements. They are available through the Blacksmith.

Players can recycle any item by pressing the upgrade button on it. Every item recycled adds level to the upgrade gauge.

Weapons

When a weapon is upgraded, it is granted an initial damage bonus, as well as a scaling factor that influences other stats. Some upgrade components have cosmetic effects and others provide additional attributes. These upgrades can be inserted into armor, weapons, trinkets, or gathering tools, and most require that the equipment have an upgrade slot that is available and meet certain specifications. If a weapon piece features an upgrade component within it, it is able to be upgraded however the previous upgrade will be destroyed (except for legendary equipment and upgrades). Upgrade components can be retrieved by using a Black Lion Salvage Kit or an Ascended Salvage Tool, or using a high-tier salvage tool on the Best item upgrade itself.

A weapon can also be upgraded to include a calibration attribute that increases certain stats, for example Weakspot damage or Crit Rate. This is done through the Gear Workbench interaction menu. This can be done four times depending on the weapon level.

Once the weapon has reached its maximum level of upgrade and is then reforged to add different bonuses and effects or improve specific stats. Several of these upgrades can be re-applied at once, and the effects are based on the quality of the weapon.

Two Blacksmiths can perform these upgrades in the game: Blacksmith Iji on the Road to the Manor Site of Grace and Smithing Master Hewg at the Church of Elleh hub. Both upgrade materials are different: Smithing Stones to modify the type of damage that weapons deal and Somber Smithing Stones to modify the standard weapons.

Generally, it is recommended to upgrade weapon damage first, followed by armour defense, and then the other secondary stats that are required by your build. In particular, it is common to see melee druids enhancing their weapon prior to any other gear, since this can increase DPS. This is especially applicable to enchantments that enhance a weapon's stats and damage.

Armor

Item upgrades allow players to boost the stats of certain weapons, armors, trinkets, and gathering tools. These upgrades may also have other effects, such as an increase in damage or cosmetic enhancements. Item Upgrades can be obtained by crafting, purchasing from NPC vendors, in loot drops or as rewards for quests.

The quality of armor can be upgraded by visiting the Armorer NPC, and spending the appropriate currency. In most cases an Best item upgrade of armor will be upgraded to the next level once an upgrade is applied. The majority of armor types can be upgraded, but some items (such as the armor used to start in Great Sky Island) cannot.

The majority of armor upgrades boost the item's defense or strength by only a tiny amount. However, certain upgrade components can provide significant increases to strength or defense, particularly when upgrading an epic item.

In addition to increasing the base defense of an item, a few upgrades also provide specific abilities that can be activated while wearing a piece of armor. These abilities can prove useful in combat. For example they can increase the speed of attack or block. Certain upgrades provide passive effects that can be beneficial, such as decreasing damage when wearing armor, or increasing the chance to dodge an attack.

Upgrades to armor could require several attempts, depending on the type of armor. If a player is looking to upgrade Steelclash armor into Dragonscale and the first attempt will result in a new Dragonscale armor with the defense base ranging from 59 to 67. The second attempt will result in a brand new Dragonscale armor that has an initial defense of 67-77 and the list goes on.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild lets players upgrade their armor sets to level 4. To do this, they must visit each of the four locations known as Great Fairy Fountains in the game. Each location has a powerful fair who can upgrade a piece of armor for you.

Despite popular belief it isn't a necessity in The Division 2. Some armors offer a significant boost in the reduction of the damage caused by poison or curse, magic or fire. This makes them useful for certain types of builds. There are also ways to improve armor stats beyond the use of upgradeable armor such as the engineer trait to boost armor penetration or the challenger trait to reduce the weight of the entire armor.

Potion

A potion can be upgraded by putting it in a brewing stand to unlock new effects. The upgrade unlocks a new level of potion effects, and can be repeated to unlock higher levels of potency.

The potion also has an individual color code, which the player can choose by using /give. This affects area-of-effect clouds and arrows generated by the potions. In Bedrock Edition the custom potion color also affects the particle effects of the potions.

The water bottle, common and thick potions and difficult potions, now have a distinct brewing texture. The potion of weakness was added to the potion of healing in Creative inventory. There are lingering potions available that can be made with splash potions or dragon breath, and a thick potion with the status effect Mining Fatigue (duration 4 hours). Bug Tracker is the place for you to report issues with this patch.

Trinket

A trinket is an inexpensive piece of jewelry. This can be a ring, necklace, or even a small flag that is used to identify a boat's lateen yard. It can also refer to a gold-plated trinket on the mast of a vessel.

This bizarre trinket seems to be influencing the inhabitants of this maze by making them more common. At its current level, this trinket makes all types of mimic Xx more popular, and gives each floor an X% chance to contain an ebony-colored mimic. This trinket costs a moderate amount of energy to upgrade.

The enchanted Scepter's magic appears to alter the dungeon's environment and increase the likelihood of generating grass and water. This trinket at the moment will cause X% of regular floors to be filled with water or grass. It does not affect glyphs, enchantments or cursed weapons or armor or other items that are created to aid in the elimination of danger rooms.

While it appears like the normal eye of a newt this mystical item seems to be affecting your vision in ways other than just reducing your field view. This trinket, in its current level, boosts the health benefits gained from drinking healing potions and wells of life by X% and gives you mind-sight on enemies within the Y tile. This is not a stacking feature with Heightened Senses.

After completing the Mastery Cave after completing the Mastery Cave, you can find Trinkets by defeating Monsters and inside crates and chests in Skull Cavern. They are not found in the Mines or Volcano Dungeon.

Place the trinket in the Anvil when it needs to be upgraded. This will have an effect on the trinket that is random and will either increase or strengthen its effects. You can reorge the Trinket as many times as you like however it will always have an effect that is new.

You can also upgrade your Trinkets by placing them in a Magical Catalyst at the Alchemy Station. This will cost 6 energy, but increase the power of the trinket by a tiny amount.
